Living in Life

The kids had a few days off for fall  break.  We went to the dinosaur park.  It was fun to see it all decorated for halloween.  There were several paths Cel wouldn’t go because of how dark and scary they made it, even in the light of day.

Fall is by far my favorite season.  I love the smell, the clothes, the colors, the holidays.   It makes me smile.  Kaleb’s been in Chicago and today I felt like taking the kids to see the colors of the trees.

With a little TLC and some help from a friend.  We are finally working on some ideas for above my pantry, cupboards, and high selves.  I’ve struggled with what to do in those places for so long.  I seemed to short, to high, and so stressful.  I am not sure it’s Kaleb’s style but it’s a start and It makes me feel happier for now.  The lighting is bad or my camera is messed up but here’s what I’ve been working on.  I found this for 15 dollars, sanded it and spray painted it, sewed a cushion for the top, and made the pillows.  I am thinking about adding more pillows.  All of this is still a work in progress.

These were Roz’s invitation.  She spent a lot of time writing each invitation backwards so the kids had to read it in their mirrors.

They played Mystery Mad gab, Clue, The kids hide their presents and Roz had 20 questions to try and find each present, and I outlined their shadows the kids had to identify who was who. We finger printed everyone and used their finger prints for her thank you notes.  It was easy and fun, Roz loved it.  The best part for me is she wanted to do it all, so i stayed out of the way unless they needed me.  That night we went to my brother Dean’s house for a shared party .  He and Roz share the same birthday.  The last picture is afield trip I got to go with roz on.  We went to the state capital.

Cel’s soccer game was so fun to watch this last Saturday.  Cel looked so happy to be playing.  She seems to naturally know were to put her self ont the field.  She made 5 goals this week.  When Gramo was here she got to go to both Spencer and Cel’s first games.

Kaleb is another year older.  He told me it was one of the best birthday’s he’s ever had.  I take that as a real compliment because shopping for him for any holiday is so stressful.  He did get spoiled this year with an ice cream maker, row bike, bike horn etc.  We love you Kaleb!

Gramo came and stayed with us for Spencer’s baptism.  We loved having her so much.  She helped me make costumes this year for our Wizard of Oz theme.  We found all most everything at DI.  She made cel’s cute costume out of a woman’s shirt.  I can’t wait to show pictures of the whole family together.  The costumes have turned out so great this year.  Thanks Mo for your help!
